No Wii Ads in the U.K.
If you live in the UK, listen up.
Expect to see a lot more ads for the Nintendo DS on your telly.
Nintendo is pulling all of their Wii ads and replacing them with ads for the DS due to huge demand and a supply that just can’t seem to keep up.
A spokesman said, “We have been running the campaign all year round, but we want to take a responsible stance this Christmas and not fuel demand”.
Don’t fret my British readers, you can always get the Wii that I wrote about from Ebay.

Interesting piece of news- I always thought the Wii was in huge demand. It’s been branded “most-wanted Christmas present”, and stores are forever running out of stock. I know the DS is popular too, but I didn’t think Nintendo were going to take away ALL the Wii ads :(
Oh well, I’ve already got Mario Galaxy, and I’m happy, lol. :]

Nintendo announced last week that supply probably won’t catch up with demand until around April.
What kills me are the people who are going to pay 1000 USD for a Wii when they can wait a couple of months and get one for the regular price.
Dumb asses. :)

[…] a big deal. They switched the ads in the U.K. so that people would fixate on the DS instead and promised rain checks to us […]
